“How do project managers handle project milestones these days? We already discussed the fact that team members might not be in the same location because of mobile workers, so how is this done? Every team project is different and comes with different milestones. It can be difficult to track the milestones now that team members are floating around the world and checking in via the Internet. Companies have begun using attendance tech, such as absence management software, to track their project milestones. This software is easy to install, easy to use and can be taught in a matter of moments to all employees. This software can create reports for employee attendance, clock in and clock out times, absences and more.
Employee Accountability Increases
The connection between project management and attendance tech, specifically when using an absence tracker, occurs with employee accountability. When employees know their time on the clock can be looked at almost every minute of the day, it makes them become more accountable for their actions. Their managers know when they clock in and out, when they take breaks, if they take too many breaks and when they are working on assigned projects and for how long. If their performance lags, managers will know. This should be enough of an incentive for employees to be more productive. – Lynn Joseph, excerpted from her article, “The Connection Between Project Management and Attendance Tech” @ TMCnet.com , click here to read the article in its entirety.
